Dounia graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture from École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette with a focus on digital architectural design. She has previously worked as an intern at PCA-Stream in Paris, where she gained experience working on large office projects as well as several design competitions.

Dounia joined NSW in January 2018 and has since then worked on a variety of projects, from concept to construction. Projects include; Drammen Stasjon Hotell, Drammen Business Center as well as ongoing projects for the national airport authority – Avinor. She has also been a valuable member of several architecture competition teams such as Horten Havn – HS4.

Dounia has a special expertise in BIM and design technology. At NSW, she is leading research activities and providing computational design solutions. In 2019, she was shortlisted for Den Kloke Teknologi's Young Talent of the Year Award.
