Since graduating, Kari has been working as an engineer in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for 10 years, and subsequently for 17 years in Vågan municipality in various roles, including Planning Officer as well as Development Manager.

During this period, Kari gained valuable experience and knowledge of the Planning and Building Act, municipal issues and inter-municipal cooperation projects.

When the NSW office in Svolvær was established in 2007, Kari became the Regional Manager, heading this branch office. Since then, she has not only been running the office, but has also been involved in several projects, both large and small, not only in the Svolvær region but also throughout the country.

Kari has a particular interest and expertise in the area of building applications and zoning plans.
