The new five-level parking house builds on the recognizable geometry of its predecessors, retaining the iconic circular driving ramp while introducing distinct, sculptural staircase and elevator towers positioned externally. The result is a clear and efficient layout that maximizes capacity while ensuring intuitive wayfinding and seamless traffic flow.
A key design ambition has been to elevate the user experience. Pedestrian and vehicular routes are clearly separated to enhance safety, while the ground-level pedestrian zone has been designed with generous ceiling heights, refined materials, and a welcoming architectural language. From the moment passengers step out of their car, they are met with a spatial quality that echoes the airport terminal experience, guiding them naturally toward the main entrance.
The façade is defined by corrugated and perforated aluminium panels with a dark, gold-toned anodized finish. This creates a dynamic visual identity: up close, the material expresses depth and precision; from afar, the building appears light and translucent, like a veil that subtly reveals activity within.
The external stair and elevator towers are constructed from prefabricated, insulated concrete elements, enabling clean, column-free interiors with minimal visual clutter. High-precision detailing, concealed fixings, and large-format elements contribute to a robust yet refined architectural expression.
Inside, vivid yellow handrails introduce a distinctive and energetic contrast, enhancing orientation and adding character. Circular skylights bring natural daylight deep into the stairwells, creating bright, safe, and inviting vertical connections throughout the building.
